This application provides a very simple interface. Its window basically is a drop zone where you can drag an application. If Dock Dodger recognizes it, it can remove the dock icon for that application.
I talked about recognition because some of the tested applications were shown as not being applications. For example: the old Yahoo! Messenger.
After you drop an application on Dock Dodger's window, the program requires you to authenticate in order to actually remove that icon. If the application is running, then you have to restart it in order to make this solution work.
If you would like to restore the process,then you have to follow the same steps. Drop the application that has the dock icon disabled onto Dock Dodger's window, authenticate, and then the application would be restored to its original state.
Pluses: it can hide the dock icon of some of your applications.
Drawbacks / flaws: the application can't recognize all the applications as being programs.
